OUR SHOP IS A PART OF STE. GENEVIEVE HISTORY. The building is the historic Brooks House, built in 1861 and home of William C. Brooks, a key figure in Ste. Genevieve’s African-American history. He was a domestic servant for Henry L. Rozier and later Anne Valle, last private owner of the Guibourd-Valle House, and has a street named in his honor.
